CANYFIX – TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before submitting your device for repair.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your device to Canyfix, whether at a Canyfix store, through pickup & delivery, home service, or any authorised Canyfix partner, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
2. Device Ownership
You confirm that:
- You are the lawful owner of the device, or
- You are authorised by the owner to submit it for repair.
Canyfix may refuse service if ownership appears doubtful.
3. Pre-Repair Inspection
Before repair:
- Device condition may be recorded through photographs and videos.
- Existing scratches, dents, cracks and physical damage will be documented.
- Functional testing will be carried out wherever possible.
- Existing defects found during inspection may be recorded.
4. Device Condition
If the device is:
- Dead
- Switched Off
- Restarting
- Boot looping
- Water damaged
many internal functions cannot be checked before repair. Complete testing is only possible after repair or successful power-on.
5. Hidden Faults
Electronic devices may contain hidden faults which become visible only after opening or repairing the device. These may include:
- Display issues
- Charging issues
- Battery faults
- Speaker/Microphone faults
- Camera faults
- Wi-Fi/Bluetooth issues
- Network issues
- Fingerprint/Face ID issues
- Motherboard faults
- IC failures
- Flex cable damage
If additional faults are found, Canyfix will inform the customer before proceeding with additional repairs whenever reasonably possible.
6. Water Damage Repairs
Water damaged devices are unpredictable. Customer understands that:
- Internal corrosion may continue even after repair.
- New faults may appear later.
- Device may stop working again.
- Repair success cannot be guaranteed.
No warranty or guarantee applies to water damage repairs unless specifically mentioned on the invoice.
7. Motherboard Repairs
Motherboard repairs involve complex micro-soldering. Customer understands:
- Complete repair cannot be guaranteed.
- Additional motherboard faults may already exist.
- New motherboard issues may appear after repair.
- Some ICs may fail during diagnosis due to existing damage.
- Device may become completely non-functional because of existing internal faults.
No warranty applies on motherboard repairs unless specifically mentioned in writing.
8. Restart / Boot Loop / Dead Device
For restart, boot loop or dead phone repairs:
- Exact cause can only be confirmed after diagnosis.
- Multiple faults may exist.
- Repair outcome cannot be guaranteed.
- No guarantee is provided for successful recovery.
9. Data Loss
Customer is strongly advised to take a complete backup before submitting the device.
Customer understands that repairs involving Motherboard, Water damage, Dead phones, Restart issues, Software recovery, Storage IC, CPU, or Memory IC may result in complete or partial data loss.
If your data is extremely important, please do not submit the device unless you accept this risk or have already created a backup.
Canyfix is not responsible for data loss arising from the repair process unless required by applicable law.
10. Display Repairs
Display replacement restores the damaged display but cannot restore factory-new condition.
Unless specifically mentioned, no warranty applies against:
- Physical damage
- Drops
- Pressure damage
- Water damage
- Liquid damage
- Bent devices
- Broken glass
- Customer misuse
11. Display Physical Damage Includes
The following are treated as physical damage or misuse where caused by impact, pressure, liquid or similar external factors:
- Broken display
- Cracked glass
- Black spots
- Green lines, Pink lines, White lines
- Vertical or horizontal lines
- Ink spread
- Display bleeding
- Pressure marks
- Touch not working
- Touch lag
- Ghost touch
- Dead pixels caused by damage
- Colour distortion caused by impact or liquid
- LCD/OLED separation
- Screen flickering caused by physical impact
- Damage caused due to excessive pressure or bending
These are not covered under warranty.
12. Plastic Back Panels
Some phones require heat during opening. Customer understands that:
- Plastic back panels may slightly fade.
- Minor cosmetic marks may occur.
- Existing weak adhesive or previous repairs may increase this risk.
This does not affect repair quality.
13. Frame & Glass
Phones with bent frames, previous repairs, weak adhesive, or existing cracks carry additional repair risk.
During disassembly, existing damage may worsen due to the condition of the device.
14. Accessories & Belongings
Customer should collect:
- SIM Card
- Memory Card
- SIM Tray
- Mobile Cover
- Charger
- Box
- Stylus
- Tempered Glass
- Accessories
unless officially recorded during submission. Canyfix is not responsible for personal belongings that are not documented at the time of device submission.
15. Warranty
Warranty is only applicable if specifically mentioned on the invoice for the repaired or replaced part. If no warranty is mentioned, no warranty shall apply.
Warranty never covers:
- Physical damage
- Liquid damage
- Customer negligence
- Power surge
- Third-party opening
- Third-party repair
- Software modification
- Rooting/Jailbreaking
- Mishandling
- Normal wear & tear
16. Extended Warranty
If customer purchases an optional extended warranty: Coverage remains subject to all warranty exclusions. Physical damage of any kind is never covered.
17. Additional Repairs
If additional faults are discovered, Canyfix will seek customer approval before carrying out additional paid repairs wherever reasonably Possible.
18. Spare Parts
Depending upon availability and customer selection, parts may be: Original, OEM, or Compatible.
Customer acknowledges and approves the selected part before installation.
19. Repair Time
Repair timelines are estimates only. Additional diagnosis, technical issues or part availability may increase repair time.
20. Customer Testing
Customer is requested to inspect and test the device at the time of delivery. Any immediately noticeable concerns should be reported before leaving the store or completing home-service delivery where practical.
21. Payments & Refunds
All approved repair charges become final once the repair has been completed and the device has been delivered.
If a customer changes their mind, no longer wants the repaired device, or decides not to use the repaired device after delivery, repair charges already paid are non-refundable.
This clause does not limit any refund rights the customer may have under applicable consumer protection laws where Canyfix has failed to provide the agreed service.
22. Abandoned Devices
Devices not collected within a reasonable period after repeated notification may attract storage charges or be dealt with in accordance with applicable law after reasonable notice.
23. Limitation of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, Canyfix's liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant repair service.
Canyfix shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of business, loss of profits or other economic losses.
24. Customer Declaration
By submitting the device, the customer confirms that:
- They have read these Terms & Conditions.
- They understand the repair risks.
- They accept the possibility of hidden faults.
- They understand that motherboard, water damage, restart and dead phone repairs carry a higher risk.
- They understand that data loss may occur during such repairs.
- They have backed up important data or accept the risk of data loss.
- They agree to these Terms & Conditions for repairs carried out through any Canyfix store, partner, pickup & delivery or home service.
